CleanSlate is an app that enables people to maintain a tidy home on their schedule.
Typically, women are stay-at-home parents who usually manage cleaning the home. Blogs, spreadsheets, and endless to-do lists are just some of the examples found online to organize daily, weekly, monthly, and even yearly needs around the house. It always felt like something was forgotten or things wouldn’t get done. These stay-at-home individuals became increasingly frustrated with the burden of supporting a healthy roost while also meeting other family needs. From this research, I put together a profile that explains what someone might feel.
From the research acquired, a stay-at-home mother’s typical day was laid out. Multiple women from different households were interviewed and there were multiple common denominators.
From the beginning, I wanted the app to feel bright and welcoming to help ease the anxiety cleaning can bring. It should be easy to use while also being advanced enough to meet the needs of the user. I also wanted to include a social media function so women from all backgrounds can share what has worked best for their families.
I built out wireframes to get a feel of the app navigation and how assets like pages could flow together. This was used in user testing.
Thank you for viewing this app and I hope you'll take a look at my other projects!
